Simply Living & Risen Acres 2

Its time to catch up with the house..........and it is coming along beautifully......not bragging just simply stating. My husband and I have sacrificed so hard, worked so hard, and looking at the goal almost coming to a close has almost become hazy.....but eye on the prize, Right?! There have been tears, fear, sweat, regrets, strains, being in survival mode,  ready to give up, the unknow becoming even more unknown, running one minute and falling the next and not wanting to get back up, and still hanging on to the Almighty (barley) and somehow carrying each other to move forward. Get up soldier, your almost there.....but not yet.

You may ask.....maybe your being a little dramatic, your just building a house right? Ya I wish it was that easy. Where does the tears and sweat come in to this building a home story? You know the story in the Bible about the children of Israel and how they wondered for forty years? Ya I felt like a wonderer about this farmhouse. We own our own semi truck and it was working and paying bills. We were so confidant that we were just going to slide into home base soon...but LIFE! Our semi Truck started to break down numerous times and we had to play catch up on bills. I remember telling my husband," we should of just stayed in our home we just sold." As soon as I said that to him, I could feel a little tug in my heart reminding me I sounded just like the children of Israel when they were complaining about being up against the Red Sea. Of course the Lord parted the Red Sea. Jeez! I totally forgot about the part where God parted the Red Sea?!

Our semi truck was down for almost three weeks! When you are building a house that is not a good thing! Of course, our truck was back on the road and we were playing catch up on everything. Out of all the worse times that we have experienced in this year of building our home, I think this time was the worst! Why does life have to be so mean and cruel? But, there are others who go thru so much more than building a home.

My husband and I would go to the property to see the progress on our farmhouse and the wind was blowing with the sun setting and being in the country just hits a nerve just right and we are able to feel rested and ready to move forward to complete this build. Its just so nice to be reminded to keep moving forward and be committed. Our goal is to live in the country. Don't settle! Move forward. One day we will grow old and weary and not be able to walk anymore. We will be looking out the window revisiting memories and wishing I should of, could of, wished I's, will run thru our minds. I want to be able to tell the younger generation that we did go after our dreams not we should of went after our dreams.

But in the end it will be worth it................

Now on to the pictures BUT I want everyone to meet our cat Cinnamon. Cinnamon knows every square inch of our 32 foot long rv. I don't know how she is going to react to her new 3, 882 square foot home!

Here is Wilbur! He is our first farm animal. Wilbur currently resides at my mother in laws backyard. Wilbur drives her crazy! I don't blame her having a silent war with Wilbur. Wilbur treats her backyard like he pays rent! November can't get here fast enough to move Wilbur to his permanent home.......you see the dirt on his face.....yall know what he is doing to my mother in laws backyard without even typing it. OH WILBUR!

I wanted to show a sunset I caught while being on our property. Oh the beauty!

Also....the moon! I got the moon pic with my Samsung phone!

Well! You have to see the semi truck that, after giving us so much trouble this year, looks like....

This is a pic while on the road.

So.....now on to the farmhouse... the first picture is us going to pick out the granite for our farmhouse. We ended up going three times because my husband didn't like any of the granite. On the third visit we finally found the two for our home. The second picture is the two different granite we chose for our home. The darker granite will be for the island of our kitchen and the second one is white and black granite is for the rest of the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room.

And here she is in almost all her glory!

Thanks for spending time with me and my family. Blessings to you and your family. Be safe!
Till next time!
