More progress on the farmhouse.......

So for the past two days I have come down with an ear ache! I am on antibiotics and Advil. It has been years since I have had an ear ache. Boy do ear aches hurt! Being a mom, we still have things to do! I can now say....an ear ache is almost as painful as a man cold! Maybe we shouldn't go there......

I have Cinnamon by my side to take care of me. I have always been a dog person. The wagging tails, floppy ears, showing of affection are my favorite characteristics of dogs. Dogs are so open hearted and lovable. Cats! These babies are a whole different breed! Since having little miss Cinnamon...she shows affection when she feels like it. If I want to love on her and she doesn't....don't you dare touch her. Honestly....Cinnamon sounds like a woman who has been married for eighteen years! Cats are so very introverted. I love Cinnamon and so does my hubby and daughter. Cats are just as awesome as dogs.

Here is one of our German shepherds. His name is Kylo and he is one of our guard dogs. He is a huge dog and he really throws his weight around. He is my daughters protector. He seems to know she is special. The other day one of my mother in law's dogs got close to my daughter and he ran quickly to my daughter's side. Kylo got as tall as he could and his hair on his back stood up and growled and let the other dog know to back up and that that was his human! The other dog was just smelling my daughter and I am sure she could smell Cinnamon. We have two German shepherds and Thor (our other German Shepherd) belongs to my hubby but I could not get a good picture of him.....I will get a picture next time.  In the meantime here is Kylo down below.........He is just living his dog life.

Since I am on the subject of animals....we went to check the progress on the farmhouse. As soon as we pulled into the front yard of the farmhouse there is a mama pig and her two babies feasting on our patch of grass! I saw her last week and she went running off and I couldn't get a picture of them. I was so devastated because her family is so beautiful! Well! Mama pig was right there waiting for me! They are just precious! Just look at them! The black spots and the pink color. Let me go ahead and apologize....this one picture thing turned into a whole photo shoot. 😂

God knew I was so devastated about not being able to get a picture of them and judging by the pictures you can see why! If this is country living then November needs to hurry up! The little ham hocks!

Since my family and I will be living in the country, I have been working on my hat collection.....that I will have...eventually. This is one is the first of many......since we are on a pretty tight budget, because were building a house right now, I figured I would compromise and use my imagination and start at the Dollar Tree. Well, here is the end result....please don't be too harsh, I had to work with what I had.

I love hats! To make this hat was a cost of only $5 and some change.  but....I want to make the hats I will wear at the farmhouse my own. I love shabby chic style and I want the hats I wear to have my personal touch. I can't wait to get this hat....home. I also have a Pinterest account. My account on Pinterest is: @sonyaibarra85...if you would like to follow along.

SO lets get into the farmhouse updates! We have granite in all the house and it is beautiful....and other updates. I want to start out with the two kitchens. Last update the kitchens were waiting for granite. First up is the baking kitchen. She has her granite counter tops and the sitting bar. She is a real beauty and it is all coming together.

Next up is the cooking kitchen and it is beautifully overwhelming! The kitchen island is a different granite than the rest of the kitchens. The granite for the island is black with swirls all in it.

Here is the update for the guest bathroom and my moms bathroom. We wanted to use the full slab of granite from the island in the house since there would be so much left over.

Now we need to take a look at the laundry room. This place was designed for stains....the room to get the stains out....and folding the clothes.

This is my section of the master bedroom. I am so glad I will have a place to be able to do hair and just put my stuff on.

This is a picture of a close up of the granite in the kitchens, master bath, and laundry room.

This is a close up of the island in the kitchen and in the guest bathroom and suite bathroom.

Here is my hubby's side in the master bath.

This is the inside of our shower in the master bath.

Last but not least here is the fire place. She is still getting pretty. The fire place will have shiplap all the way up.

We also had our sidewalk done. It looks so cute!

I want to leave all of you with the scenery at the farmhouse.....
The storm clouds were rolling in....love it!

If are able to upload a picture in the comments below and let me see the sky from your view! I would love to see that. Thanks for spending time with me. Be blessed and be safe.
